A shame to leave the dunes so quickly. We passed by filming of "Queen of the Desert", and stopped at a workshop that processed the local fossiliferous rock, making plates, benches, tables, sinks, nick-knacks, anything that would sell.
On then through the desert, stopping at ancient irrigation tunnels where water from the distant hills would be transported in underground canals, then brought to the surface.
Just past Tinerhir we headed north into the Todra Gorge, a really tight gorge with high sheer cliffs overhanging the houses below.
